Mohumona” is a cafe located in Ginowan City, near Nakagusuku Village in the central part of Okinawa’s main island.
There are two spaces: a café where you can have lunch and a space where Yachimun (pottery) is sold, offering a wide variety of delicious and fun ways to enjoy your visit.
It takes about 36 minutes by car from Naha Airport. By bus, take the Tokyo Bus (TK01 or 02) from Naha Airport Domestic Terminal to “Kokusai-dori Iriguchi”. From the “Kencho North Exit” (about 2 minutes on foot), take Ryukyu Bus No. 90 and get off at “Nagata” to reach the restaurant in 2 minutes on foot.
Note that this bus also goes via “Hotel Collective-mae” and “Makishi” on Kokusai-dori, so you may take the bus after a short visit to Kokusai-dori!
From the exterior, with its blooming bougainvillea, it is a natural and healing space. Inside, you can feel the warmth of the wood in the calm and elegant interior. It is a space where you can relax and feel at ease.

The price is 1400 yen, a bit expensive for a Ginowan lunch. A drink set is available for an extra few hundred yen.
The atmosphere and the healthy and tasty lunch plates make it a reasonable price.
Point 3: What is the Yachimun corner of “Mohumona” like?
Hachimunun and other ceramics, glass, woodwork, and other household goods are sold at “Mohumona” on the third floor of the same building as Cafe Mohumona.
The space is quite large, so many items are sold.
Some of the Yachimun are by up-and-coming artists, and include traditional patterns, turquoise blue ones reminiscent of the Okinawan sea, and unique ones such as coffee bean and animal patterns!
Some of them are so simple that they look as if they are concept art of Yachimun. Some of them are so plainly colored but tasteful that you would think they were Yachimun concept art, and you will never get bored just looking at them.
There are also Okinawan glasses for sale, and they are so beautiful that you will want to buy all of them.
Although there are not as many varieties as in Yachimun Street, the items are selected by the store owners, so you will find only attractive items for sale.
