Sun Marina Beach is an artificial beach located on the grounds of the Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort in Onna Village, Kunigami-gun, central Okinawa Prefecture.
This beach is famous for its clean water quality, which was rated AA by the Ministry of the Environment in a water quality survey in 2028. In addition to the water quality, the pure white sandy beach is as beautiful as powder.
In 2006, it was selected as one of the 100 best beaches in Japan, and it is no exaggeration to say that it is the most beautiful and safe beach not only in Okinawa Prefecture but also in all of Japan.
Point 1: Swimming is possible all year round
Most beaches in Okinawa are open for swimming from April to the end of October, but Sunmarina Beach is open for swimming any time of the year.
Moreover, most beaches managed by resort hotels charge a fee for non-guests, but Sunmarina Beach is open to non-guests free of charge.
Swimming hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., so you can enjoy a full day of swimming.
