Yachimun Restaurant is located in Yaese-cho, in the southern part of Okinawa’s main island.
Yaese-cho may not be familiar to some people, but it is located right in the middle of a peninsula in the southern part of the main island of Okinawa. It is located far from tourist attractions such as Himeyuri Tower, Peace Memorial Park, and Saiba Utaki, and is not an area that tourists would go out of their way to visit.
This restaurant has even appeared on a local gourmet TV show, so locals might go out of their way to visit.
From Naha Airport, it takes about 33 minutes via Routes 332 and 507.
By bus, take Ryukyu Bus No. 152 to “Kuniba” first, then take Okinawa Bus No. 34, which is a 4-minute walk from there, and get off at “Prefectural Yagihara Danchi Iriguchi”. It is a 4-minute walk to the restaurant.
Although there is one transfer, the fact that it takes only a little over 30 minutes to get there makes it one of the easiest to access.

At Yachimun Shokudo, as in other Okinawan restaurants, you must first buy a ticket from the ticket machine before ordering. Please note that only cash is accepted at Yachimun Shokudo!
The menu includes a variety of set menus such as tonkatsu, Karaage, and other set menus, as well as set menus of slightly twisted Okinawan dishes such as Kubu Irichi, fu Champuru, tofu Champuru, cartilage soba, and Sampaniku donburi!
The walls are decorated with many pictures of the menu. It has the feel of “the Okinawan diner.
Including takeout menus such as bento boxes, there are more than 30 different items on the menu!
For 1,480 yen, you can have a sirloin steak, and for 1,000 yen, you can have a taco rice and Okinawa soba set!

Point 3: Can you make menus that are not on the “Yachimun Shokudo” ticket machine?
Yachimun Shokudo specializes in deep-fried chicken, and usually, three large pieces of deep-fried chicken are served with every order.

The restaurant seems to have a lot of confidence in its fried food, as it has even entered the “Karaage Grand Prix.
Also, although the restaurant does not have the goya Chanpuru (bitter melon stir-fry) that is a staple at Okinawan restaurants, if you inform the restaurant of a menu item that is not on the ticket machine, they will make it for you if you buy a ticket of about the same price.
