About a minute’s drive from Naha Airport. It is a fashionable parlor located in Miyagi, Chatan-cho, central Okinawa main island. From originally developed fish tacos to Korean ramen noodles, fish red rice, and drinks such as vinegar soda! The stylish and cute exterior is a landmark!

Point 1: North of Ameville! What is the location of CORNER’S PARLOR?

CORNER’S PARLOR is a parlor located in Miyagi, Chatan-cho, central Okinawa.

The exterior and menu are very fashionable and distinctly different from the traditional parlors often found in Okinawa!

The nearby Miyagi Coast is a mecca for surfers worldwide, and the parlor started out as a place for surfers to enjoy a light meal, but recently, because of local love and a desire to continue their original menu, they have been actively communicating on SNS as well!

The owner woman’s brother is also a strong surfer, and next to the parlor is a surf store.

The father is a diving suit craftsman, and I envy him for having a family business related to surfing!

It takes about 44 minutes from Naha Airport via Route 58.

By bus, take the Limousine Bus Naha Airport Line or Ryukyu Bus No. 120 and get off at “Kuki-tai Iriguchi”. It is an 11-minute walk to the restaurant.

The restaurant is located on the north side of “American Village” and is very close to the entrance of Kadena Air Base, so it is a place where many foreigners live.

It is an area where you can feel like you are in a foreign country even though you are in Okinawa!

Tacos are a very popular soul food in Okinawa, but they are usually made with ground meat.

The “Fish Taco” at “CORNER’S PARLOR” is a rice version of the popular fish taco in the United States.

Fried white fish is fried with salsa sauce and garlic butter, then topped with freshly fried fish and topped with the original white sauce.

At first glance, it looks spicy, but the original white sauce neutralizes the spiciness, making it not so hot.

The moderately spicy and addictive taste matches the tropical island of Okinawa and makes you want to eat it all year round. It is different from taco rice in that it is refreshingly spicy with a tropical feel.

He inherited the recipe from the owner’s mother about 10 years ago. At first, it was just a light meal for surfers, but about 2 years ago, he started to promote it in earnest on SNS and feels it is his mission to keep this menu alive!
