About a minute’s drive from Naha Airport. It is the Okinawa base of Kazushi Miyazawa of The Boom, located in Yogi, Okinawa City, central Okinawa Island. The restaurant is in the style of a modern Okinawan traditional house, where you can enjoy reasonably priced lunch, Okinawa soba, and even kara-soba without soup.
Point 1: What is the location of “Miyanchi STUDIO & COFFEE”?
Miyanchi STUDIO & COFFEE” is a cafe located in Yogi, Okinawa City, central Okinawa Island.
The cafe is actually run by Kazushi Miyazawa of The Boom.
He was born in Yamanashi Prefecture, but now Okinawa has become his second hometown.
However, Okinawa is now his second home, and 12 years have passed since he opened the cafe.
It is a red-tiled Okinawan house, but it is not an old house, but a modern-style Okinawan house with concrete walls that match very well.
It seems to be very cozy, and many locals wish to have a “miai” here.
Miyanchi“ means ”welcome,“ and is thought to be a pun on ”Miyanchi,” the name of Mr. Miyazawa’s house.
From Naha Airport, it is 48 minutes via Okinawa Expressway.
By bus, take Ryukyu Bus No. 113 to “Yoshiwara Iriguchi”, then take Okinawa Bus No. 52 from “Yoshiwara Iriguchi” Okinawa Bus is located 1 minute’s walk away, get off at “Daiichi Yogi” and walk 7 minutes to the store.
Inside the store, a music box arrangement of The Boom’s music is playing. The atmosphere is very nice.
Come to think of it, “Shima Uta” was also played on the Yui Rail.
Point 2: The “Miyanchi STUDIO&COFFEE” lunch set is a great deal!
Miyanchi STUDIO & COFFEE” offers lunch sets at lunchtime.
The “Seared Soki Soba Set” in the photo, available in limited quantities, is 1,100 yen.
You can get a drink set for 220 yen, a drink and mini dessert for 310 yen, or a drink and cake set for 550 yen.
Another tasty set is the soup-less “Kara-Soba” set!
These are Okinawan soba noodles, but they are unusual in that they are like maze soba without soup.
Both the Soba and the Soki are hearty! And for the drink set, you can choose either “Miyanchi Coffee” made from original Brazilian beans, or “Fugetsujima Tea,” a blend of green tea and lemongrass.
In addition to the soba, be sure to try the “Miyanchi COFFEE” made from original roasted Brazilian beans.
Point 3: Introduction of “Miyanchi STUDIO & COFFEE” original goods!
Miyanchi STUDIO & COFFEE” not only provides food and beverages but also makes original goods.
The photo shows a cushion cover with a motif of “Sagaribana,” a pretty purple flower that blooms in early summer in Okinawa.
There is also a Sagaribana pouch with the same pattern.
Both are fashionably pastel in color, without using primary colors just because they are tropical flowers.
Other items include an anorak parka, a nylon cap, and a 14-ounce glass of Sagaribana, all of which are so urban and sophisticated in design that you will want to buy them all!
To my surprise, the drawings were done by Mr. Miyazawa himself.
God gives too much to those who have artistic talent as well as musical talent.
The cafe “Miyanchi STUDIO & COFFEE” is located in Yogi, Okinawa City, central Okinawa Island, and is produced by Kazushi Miyazawa of the rock band The Boom, and serves as his base in Okinawa.
It is a very nice and cozy modern-style Okinawan house! And the lunch and drinks are delicious as well. Please come and visit us.
