Approximately 1-hour drive from Naha Airport. It is a comprehensive resort with a distinctive triangular-shaped building located in Onna Village in the central part of Okinawa’s main island. Not only lodging but also dining and activities can be completed on the premises! You can enjoy a tropical resort without going outside. Once you visit this hotel, you will want to repeat your stay.
Point 1: The rooms at the Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort are amazing!
Opened in 1987, the Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort is a large hotel with 246 guest rooms in 15 different categories in the Main and South Towers, all renovated to meet the needs of today’s travelers while maintaining the style of a long-established hotel.
For example, the most affordable deluxe twin room in the main tower is 32 square meters on the lower floor, and all rooms have a balcony and a bathroom with a rainforest shower overlooking the ocean.
The beds are made by “Slumberland,” a brand that has received a royal warrant from the British Royal Family.
The price is expensive, about 33,000 yen for two people including breakfast, but it is also a premium with unlimited access to the indoor pool, whirlpool, and large public baths for a minimum of two nights.
Many fans also prefer the South Tower, which has a more sophisticated design and more open baths than the Main Tower, but the Main Tower is recommended for those with children, as access to the pool, public baths, and Main Tower is somewhat more difficult.
Point 2: The Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort has a terrific 80-course breakfast!
Breakfast at the Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort is served at Sense all-day dining in the main tower.
The menu features more than 10 kinds of freshly baked breads and danishes every day, omelets baked at a station, Okinawan dishes using local vegetables, fresh tropical fruits, and more.
While there are occasionally 50 kinds of food, there are probably not many hotels in Okinawa that serve 80 kinds of food.
The display of the breakfast menu is also superb, as one would expect from Sheraton! I must say.
However, the price is a bit expensive at 3,729 yen for adults (13 years and older). If you are planning to eat breakfast at the hotel, it would be slightly cheaper to choose a plan that includes breakfast.
Point 3: The variety of activities at the Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort is amazing!
The Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort is a complete resort on the premises. There is a great variety of activities.
Marine activities include snorkeling, glass boats, kayaking, diving, fishing, and in summer only, seawalkers, parasailing, yacht and jet boat cruising, rocket boarding, and marbling. There are also rocket boards and marbles.
There are also wakeboarding, windsurfing, and SUP schools!
Outdoor activities include swimming pools, zip lines and their drone aerial photography, a 13-meter go-fall, tennis, beach volleyball, and beach soccer.
Cultural activities are also available, including sanshin, darts, karaoke, billiards, ping-pong, a kids’ play area, and handmade activities such as shisa and sand art.
No matter what the weather is like anymore, you can have fun both outside and inside.
Activities are basically charged, except for some free ones such as the swimming pool.
Please note that the time and schedule of activities may be subject to change depending on the status of the new corona infection, so we recommend that you check the website in advance.
