About 40 minutes drive from Naha Airport. This American restaurant is located 1 mile from Gate 1 of Kadena Air Base. Not only the food but also the service and payment methods are American style! If you want to experience what it is like to be in America in Okinawa, please go there!
Point 1: The inside of the “Seaside at Kadena Marina” restaurant on the base is completely American!
Seaside at Kadena Marina is an American-style restaurant facing the marina on the grounds of Kadena Air Base in Kadena-cho, Nakagami County.
The appearance, atmosphere, and of course the food is American style! Many of the guests seem to be U.S. military personnel, but there are Japanese as well, so don’t be intimidated.
Some of the waitstaff speak some Japanese, but the service is basically in English.
Payment in Japanese yen is OK, but US dollars and credit cards are welcome.
The information on the website is of course also in English. (The menu is available in Japanese). Those who are allergic to English may have a bit of a hard time, but in reality, there is nothing to worry about.
However, it is not common to enter U.S. military-related places, not only in Okinawa, unless you are well-connected.
Since Seaside is open to the general Japanese public, I would like to visit there when I come to Okinawa.
Point 2: What are the brunch and set menus at Seaside at Kadena Marina like?
So what is the menu at Seaside at Kadena Marina?
The menu is largely divided into a brunch menu and a main menu.
The brunch menu is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and includes light snacks, two eggs, bacon, ham, sausage selection, toast, steak, two eggs + toast “Classic Favorites” and pancakes, waffles, and French toast “Morning Favorites” as a set menu. Morning Favorites” are available as a set menu item.
The names of the menus are very well-behaved, aren’t they? Inside the menu, you will find
The set menu comes with country potatoes, cheese grits, toast, etc., so the portions are huge.
The taste is also quite popular, although you would think it would be too much!
Point 3: Seaside at Kadena Marina still has an a la carte menu!
Seaside at Kadena Marina also offers eggs benedict, omelets, salads, soups, tacos, and burgers (listed as sandwiches), and the a la carte menu continues.
Also not to be missed are garlic shrimp pasta and fish and chips as “From the Sea!
Also, the main menu has more appetizers, and the eggs benedict and omelets that were on the brunch menu are gone, but the rest of the menu is not that different from the brunch menu.
This is an experience unique to Okinawa, where there is a large base, so if you are interested, why not give it a try?
