Approximately 37 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This esthetic salon is located in Nanjo City in the southern part of Okinawa’s main island. The esthetic treatment using Okinawan herbs in a cute wooden house is extremely comfortable. We recommend using the salon when staying at Villa Sachibaru or nearby.
Point 1: What kind of esthetic salon is “AMAMIKIYO” that uses Okinawan herbs?
AMAMIKIYO” is the name of the god who first landed in Okinawa, and Yaharazukasa, where he is said to have landed, is located near the salon.
The esthetic treatment using Okinawan herbs in a rustic wooden house amid nature at such a sacred place is one word that describes how comfortable it is.
The area around the salon is also dotted with the facilities of the “Sachibaru Yadoi” group, which operates Villa Sachibaru, a beach teahouse, and a sky teahouse, allowing you to enjoy the nature of southern Okinawa in total.
Point 2: What is the recommended esthetic menu for “AMAMIKIYO”?
AMAMIKIYO” offers three types of spa menus.
One is the “Body Treatment” (90 minutes, 12,000 yen) using shell ginger oil, another is the Chakra Facial (60 minutes, 8,000 yen, including décolleté and mask), and the “Special Course” (120 minutes, 17,000 yen) includes body and facial treatments.
While all of the treatments are attractive, the standard “body treatment” is highly recommended.
When you visit the salon, you will first soak your feet in a footbath using the leaves, flowers, and berries of the Gekko (Artemisia indica), Mugwort, and Sashikusa (Sapindus Marmorata) plants from the Sachibaru garden and nearby mountains, while enjoying a cup of hibiscus and other herbal teas.
Then the treatment begins on a bed placed in the open air, except when it is cold.
Warmed takara shells and gently scented herbal balls are used to massage the back. The body treatment begins with strong and gentle hands, and you will soon find yourself dozing off.
Point 3: What can I enjoy after the esthetic treatment at “AMAMIKIYO”?
There are facilities of the affiliated “Sachibaru Yadoi” group scattered near “AMAMIKIYO,” but after your beauty treatment, be sure to stop by “Yama-no-chaya Rakusui” where you can enjoy pizza (1,100 yen), a brown rice meal (1,650 yen), colorful basil cold noodles and Rakusui soba noodles (both 1,045 yen), and soda-sweet handmade enzyme juice (660 yen). We recommend stopping by Yama-no-chaya Rakusui, where you can enjoy colorful basil cold noodles and Rakusui soba noodles (both 1,045 yen) and handmade enzyme juice with soda (660 yen)!
After going through the trouble of feeling healthy and refreshed at the esthetic salon, wouldn’t you like to boost your health even more with brown rice and enzyme juice rather than a bowl of gutsy rice?
In such a case, please drop by “Yama-no-chaya Rakusui”, an 11-minute walk from “AMAMIKIYO”.
Note that here, too, you can see the emerald green ocean through the Kannon windows, but you can also enjoy the sunset with a stylish drink in the evening, as they have original cocktails “AMAMIKIYO” with fruit and wine shawlé!
