Point 1: What is the location where “mare” is located?
There are many Italian restaurants called “mare” all over Japan, and “mare” means “sea” in Italian, which is a perfect name for a restaurant located near the sea and using Okinawan seafood.
Mare” is located in the west of Naha, near the “Jackie Steak House,” which is easy to find. It is a small bistro-style bar, and you may be moved by its lovely appearance!
There are many unique mid-sized hotels around, such as Naha West Inn, Tissaj Hotel Naha, and Hotel and Rooms Naha Port, making it the perfect location for a “quick drink with an Italian snack” after a meal out.
It takes about 8 minutes to walk to the end of Kokusai-dori, but the Yui Rail Asahibashi station is also nearby, making it a quiet environment in spite of its convenience.
Point 2: What kind of menu does “mare” offer?
So what is the menu like at “mare”?
It is a fusion of Okinawan and Italian cuisine, and it is a restaurant that offers it at a reasonable price.
As you can see in the photo, the restaurant uses bitter gourd in the colorful hors d’oeuvre, passion fruit in the sauce for grilled white fish, and pickled island radish in the dishes.

It is not overpriced by any means. We are especially happy that the steak and chicken box is 1,000 yen.
Please note that Mare requires an extra 250 yen as a seat charge (appetizer).
Point 3: “mare” is also happy to have a wide variety of drink menus!
At “mare,” the restaurant’s logo is beautifully projected on the road, movies are played silently inside the restaurant, and other stylish touches are made.
It is a small detail, but I believe that it is not only the delicious food that makes guests fall in love with a restaurant but also these kinds of things.
I am also glad that the drink menu at “mare” is extensive and reasonably priced.
Cocktails such as highballs, Moscow mules, gin and tonics, Sanpin high, and Awamori (both 600 yen), Okinawan-style habu sake (500 yen), and soft drinks such as Sanpin tea, cola, and ginger ale (300 yen) are also reasonably priced.
It is the perfect place to finish off after a hearty steak or Okinawan cuisine, as it is light on the wallet.
