About 40 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Although called a cafe, this steak restaurant is located in Kitanakagusuku Village near the base. From the outside, the American atmosphere is irresistible. The décor and music are American and make you feel like you are on a trip abroad! The steaks are hearty, tender, and juicy.

Point 1: What is the location of “Sam’s Cafe”?

Sam’s Cafe is located in Kitanakagusuku Village. It is located in the central part of the main island of Okinawa, but much closer to the Futenma Airfield in Ginowan.

Kitanakagusuku Village is called “Kitanaka” by the locals, and although small, there are many unique and stylish cafes and restaurants.

Sam’s Cafe is located near Camp Foster and Futenma Airfield, and right off of Route 330, a major highway, so it is already in an area that has an American atmosphere from the town itself.

From the outside, it is American and makes you feel as if you are stopping by an exotic drive-in.

Point 2: What is the recommended menu for “Sam’s Cafe”?

Sam’s Cafe” is open from 11:30 in the afternoon. If you are looking for a quick lunch, we recommend the main course of steak starting at 980 yen!

Even if it is lunch, it is quite luxurious with steak and lobster.

The best-selling item is the 230 g ribeye steak (2,365 yen). For the same price, the lunch course includes soup, salad, rice or bread, and tea or coffee.

Or, if you want to splurge, how about a combination lunch?

This is a combination of half a lobster and steak, with a choice of sirloin (4,378 yen) or filet mignon (4,878 yen).

This is convenient when you want steak, but also want to give up the lobster steak!

Other service is also available with lunch specials for under 2,000 yen and seafood lunches (both with soup, salad, rice or bread, and tea or coffee)!

For a limited time only, there are also ethnic lunch specials such as the Asian Pacific Fair, where you can enjoy an even wider variety of lunches. Check the website before you go!

Point 3: “Sam’s Cafe” also offers delicious drinks and desserts!

Pictured is the “Island Sundae.

Sam’s Cafe also offers fun and colorful drinks and desserts.

Desserts include traditional American German cake, cheesecake, chocolate tart, banana split, and ice cream sundaes. The original “Island Sundae” (300 yen) with red sweet potato & turtle crackers may be the talk of the town!

Drinks include tropical cocktails, inexpensive bottles of wine (about 2,000 yen), Awamori, whiskey, and bourbon (about 600 yen per glass). Non-alcoholic cocktails and soft drinks are also available!

Sam’s Cafe has an American atmosphere with an extensive menu that will make you want to try this and that. Sam’s” is a steak chain restaurant, but this place has a strong American flavor and is a bit different. I would definitely like to visit!
