Teppanyaki and steaks with an Okinawan taste are excellent! Gourmet performances keep you waiting!
Captain’s Inn is a teppanyaki and steak restaurant with three locations in Higashimachi, Naha City, Kumoji (on Kokusai Street), and Chatan Town (in American Village) in Okinawa Prefecture.
The restaurant’s main features are steaks and teppanyaki with an Okinawan flavor. The restaurant is well known for its teppanyaki cuisine featuring Okinawan seafood and ingredients unique to Okinawa, such as Agu pork, island tofu, red potatoes, and bitter gourd.
Another attraction of the restaurant is that the chef cooks directly in front of you. We recommend this restaurant to those who say, “Since I’ve come to Okinawa, I want to eat something unique to Okinawa.” We also recommend this restaurant for those who want to enjoy Okinawan food.
Point 1: The restaurant is like a pirate ship! Full of distinctive decorations!
As the name of the restaurant suggests, when you enter the store, you feel as if you are on a pirate ship.
The overall dark brown wood-grained interior is decorated with hanging lamps, round windows, and ropes hanging from the walls, making you feel as if you are really on board the ship. You feel like you are a crew member of a pirate ship.
In this exciting atmosphere, the chef is cooking up a magnificent iron plate of food and steaks. How could it not be delicious?
Point 2: You can choose from a wide variety of courses…so much so that it’s hard to decide which one to choose!
You can choose from the Steak Course, Steak & Seafood Course, Okinawa Wagyu Beef & Agu Pork Course, and Children’s Steak Course, and the number of grams of meat can be adjusted.
There is also a full menu of a la carte dishes, appetizers, drinks and desserts, so many customers find it hard to decide which one to choose.
Our recommendation is still the steak course. The special tenderloin steak is exceptional. Also included are dishes using ingredients unique to Okinawa, such as red potatoes, island tofu, and bitter gourd stir-fry, so if you are not sure, we recommend the steak course. If you want more Okinawan ingredients, we recommend the Okinawa Wagyu Beef and Agu Pork Course.
Point 3: There is also the pleasure of watching through cooking performances!
Captain’s Inn is not only a place where the chefs cook directly in front of you, but also one of the most fascinating aspects of the restaurant is its amazing cooking performance.
Not only do they use spatulas and knives, but they also spin salt, pepper, and other seasonings around and through the air in their hands, performing like flair bartenders, making the waiting time even more enjoyable.
This is a steak and teppanyaki restaurant that is especially recommended for people with children, as the children are very happy and fascinated by the performance during the wait.
