Point 1: “Bueno Chicken Futenma” is a long-established restaurant that has been in business for over 40 years!

Bueno Chicken Futenma was established in 1982. Although today, grilled whole chicken is an everyday food in Okinawa, the restaurant began by selling it from door to door, which was still a rarity at the time.

Perhaps because of the history of U.S. military bases and immigrants in the area, the acceptance of the whole roasted chicken was relatively quick, and the restaurant quickly became popular for its “unique taste! It quickly became a popular restaurant.

Nowadays, fried chicken is available everywhere, but there are very few places where roast chicken is served on a daily basis outside of Christmas.
