It is about 10 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This hamburger restaurant is located in “Senagashima Umikaji Terrace” in Tomigusuku City. Note the volume is so large that you are literally “flooded” with the contents! The price is reasonable, but the volume makes sense!
Point 1: Is “Flooded Burger Chimfugas” a chain restaurant?
First of all, the name of the restaurant, “Flood Burger Chimufugas,” is quite impressive!
Flood” seems to mean ‘to the point of overflowing,’ while ‘Chimufugas’ means ‘to satisfy’ or ‘to surprise’ in Okinawan dialect, so the name was chosen with the hope of literally surprising the customers.
The restaurant has often been introduced on TV and other media and has many fans not only among tourists but also among Okinawan residents.
Influenced by American culture, Okinawa has many authentic hamburger stores. A&W” (a.k.a. ‘Ender’s’), Gordy’s, Jef’s, and many others can be found only in Okinawa, just to name a few.
Compared to A&W, the first hamburger restaurant established in Okinawa in 1963, Flood Burger Chimufugas, established in 2007, is a latecomer among Okinawa’s hamburger restaurants.
In 2020, it will open a restaurant in “EAS Toyosaki” next door to Umikazi Terrace. (currently closed).
So, at present, this Umikazi Terrace restaurant is the only “Flood Burger” restaurant in Okinawa.
Point 2: The menu of “Flooded Burger Chimfugas”. What is the most popular?
The variety of burgers at Flood Burger Chimfugas is not that great.

The most popular burger is still the “Flood Burger”.
This burger has a regular-sized bun, but the top has pickles, tartar sauce, tomato, lettuce, thick-sliced bacon, crunchy cheese, and a patty, so the ratio of the filling is much higher than the bun.
The thickly sliced bacon and crunchy cheese in particular have quite an impact!
To say the least, it is “hard to eat,” but you should bite into it with gusto!
You can also get a “combo” that includes fries and a drink for +495 yen, and you can change the drink to alcohol for an additional +200 yen.
The eat-in seating is outside, so you can enjoy the refreshing feeling of eating a burger with lots of ingredients while looking out at the ocean!
However, you may need to take some countermeasures on days when the sun is strong.
Point 3: What is the second most popular “Flooded Burger Chimfugas” and drink?
The second most popular item at Flooded Burger Chimfugas is the Avocado Cheeseburger.
The “Avocado Cheeseburger” is covered with a fine white sauce as shown in the photo, and contains a whole avocado cut in half as it is!
If you like spicy food, the Avocado Spicy Burger is a cheese sauce with spicy sauce.
Soft drinks include Coca-Cola, root beer, mango juice, orange juice, oolong tea, and iced coffee, and alcohol includes Corona beer Orion beer draft, and medium mugs.
