It is probably an area that 99% of ordinary tourists never set foot in, and is reached by those who aim to circumnavigate Okinawa by bicycle or on foot.
It is a hardcore “Yanbaru” area, and the northern part of the island is famous for its beautiful ocean, with the clarity of the water increasing the further north you go. The clearer the water becomes the further north you go, and the less people go, the more beautiful it is, so I highly recommend a visit.

The clarity of the ocean is impressive and there are tropical fish that are not found in the central and southern parts of the main island, so snorkeling is fun, but swimming and snorkeling are at your own risk, so please be very careful even if you are wearing a life jacket.
