This beach is located on the Pacific Ocean side of the central Okinawa Island, a little over an hour drive from Naha Airport. The Pacific Ocean side of the island has the image of a playground for locals rather than a place for tourists, but it is a quiet beach where you can relax because there are only a few people.

Point 1: What is the location where “Heapy Beach” is located?

Heapy Beach is located on the Pacific Ocean side of central Okinawa. The Pacific Ocean side of central Okinawa may seem inaccessible, but if you take the Okinawa Expressway, you can reach the beach in just over an hour.

On the Pacific Ocean side is a place called Ginoza, dotted with several nice resort hotels and famous for the Hanshin Tigers baseball team’s camp in the winter.

Although it is not an official beach, the beach is always clean. According to some, it is managed by a district called Matsuda.

I really admire the local people’s efforts to always keep their beach clean.

This beach is also very convenient because you can drive right up to the sandy beach.

Point 2: What kind of beach is “Heapy Beach”?

Heapy Beach” is easy to find because you can see the ocean right there on the road, and the bushes of dense tropical vegetation provide convenient shade.

There is a difference between a shady beach and a shady beach in Okinawa.

The beach is wide and clean with white sand. There are sometimes some seaweed, but there is almost no garbage.

There is a limit of 5 groups per day, but it is possible to have BBQ on this beach.

There are no fancy activities, but it is nice to be able to enjoy the beach in your own way!

Point 3: What are the sights and food around “Heapy Beach”?

The Pacific Ocean side of central Okinawa Island, where “Heapy Beach” is located, has few attractions, and a little further north is the Henoko base, which is rocked by the base issue.

Since few tourists come to the beach, it seems to be a place where locals can enjoy themselves.

One of the highlights is “Michi no Eki Ginoza” where you can enjoy excellent Okinawa soba noodles for 800 yen.

At the farmer’s market, umi budou, mozuku seaweed, and local fish are available at low prices. The clientele seems to be mostly local families.

Also, since it is a friendship city with Italy, it seems that not many people know that there is a “Mouth of Truth” outside.
